Engineering Computer Labs

DECS manages and supports several instructional/public computer labs available to the College of Engineering faculty, staff and students. We also manage and support a number of departmental computer labs throughout the college. The engineering labs are on a rotational upgrade plan to ensure that they have the technology available that engineering students require.

Technology upgrades and renovations are continual! Visit room Thirteen Twenty, the recently renovated lab designed to provide a collaborative work environment and a relaxing atmosphere for engineering students.

The engineering computer labs are currently running Windows XP or Solaris UNIX and require an active engineering NetID.

All DECS computer labs are open twenty-four hours a day with the exception of home football games and holidays. The first floor labs are locked the evening before home football games and holidays. The second floor labs remain open and available. The Engineering Building does, however, have limited hours.

Equipment

DECS has additional resources available for use within the engineering computer labs, as well as for checkout to use in any of the engineering buildings or for travel. These resources include: scanners, plotters, printers, projectors, laptops, tablets, audio and video equipment, still cameras, laminators and more.
