The research of Scott Calabrese Barton, assistant professor of chemical engineering and materials science, shows that a film of carbon nanotubes may be able to replace two of the layers normally used in a solar cell, with improved performance at a lower cost. [more]

  ::   MSU Graphene Can Make Materials Tougher, Lighter
Graphene, developed by Larry Drzal's research group and patented at MSU, will be produced by XG Sciences, Inc., in the Lansing area. It offers a cheaper and safer alternative to carbon nanotubes for making polymer composites. [more]
