"Extreme Makeover" Viewing at the Breslin Center Nov. 30
October 8, 2008
The owners of Lansing-based Mayberry Homes invite the community to come together to watch the Nov. 30 episode of ABC's "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" on a big screen at the Breslin Center. Both parking and admission are free and concessions will be open. This Sunday evening episode of the popular TV show features a home built by the Lansing community for the Nickless family.
Breslin Center doors will open at 6:30 p.m. The community event will begin at 7:00 with Three Men and a Tenor plus giveaways. Viewing of the "Extreme Makeover" program begins at 8:00 p.m. The College of Engineering has reserved Section 111 for our students, faculty, and staff and their families and friends. Section 111 is located near Gate B—the one closest to the main parking lot. Members of the college are strongly encouraged to wear your College of Engineering shirt or hat.
Engineering faculty and students helped design a room for the Nickless house in nearby Holt, Mich. Faculty members Leo Kempel and Tim Hogan, with support from numerous other faculty, staff, and students, logged many late hours pitching in to build a room for the oldest son, Aaron, who is interested in electrical engineering.
The TV film crew visited the College of Engineering Thursday, October 2, to tape a segment.
Sunday, November 30, at 8:00/7:00 p.m. is your chance to see the room the Spartan Engineers built.
